What's different in BITSAT?
- No reservation or seat-pool complexity like JoSAA/CET. It is mostly score + preference order + iteration choices.
- Dual degree path exists via M.Sc.; later engineering dual options may open after first-year performance.
- Freeze and Freeze-the-campus are irreversible choices. Use them only with intent.
The #1 mistake: locking a safe too early
If you Freeze (or Freeze the campus) before you are genuinely satisfied, you can permanently block upgrades later.
Quick FAQ
Is there a BITSAT percentile or rank I should use?
Use BITSAT score as your primary input. This workflow is score-based and compares against published cutoffs.
What if my score is exactly at last year's cutoff?
Borderline seats can be affected by tie-break and bracketing rules, so exact equality is not a guarantee.
Should I include M.Sc. programs as a safety net?
In many score bands, M.Sc. options can improve conversion odds while keeping upgrade pathways open.
